Voodoo Teams Up with Hasbro to Introduce TRANSFORMERS Collaboration in Mob Control
Voodoo is pleased to announce a collaboration with Hasbro, a leading toy and game company, to integrate the beloved TRANSFORMERS franchise into our most popular game, Mob Control.
Through this collaboration, Voodoo aims to deliver an immersive gaming experience by combining the iconic characters of TRANSFORMERS with the engaging gameplay of Mob Control.
The collaboration kicks off with the introduction of Bumblebee as the first champion in the game’s upcoming event, ‘Echoes from Cybertron, a TRANSFORMERS Adventure’, scheduled for release today, March 11th. More champions will be released in upcoming seasons.
“Mob Control continues to demonstrate amazing growth and success globally since launch, it’s a great opportunity to introduce TRANSFORMERS to a massive audience during the brand’s 40th anniversary year,” said Eugene Evans, SVP Digital Strategy and Licensing at Wizards of the Coast and Hasbro. “This collaboration is a prime example of our strategy to grow our digital games portfolio. By working with innovative teams, such as the talented minds behind Voodoo, we can expand the reach of our brands to gamers in entirely new formats, all around the world.”
During the first episode of this event, ‘Bumblebee to the rescue,’ players will have the opportunity to bring Bumblebee to the battle as a champion, utilizing both his bot and alt-modes, each possessing distinctive powers. The event features six challenging levels, culminating in an epic three-round boss battle.
To enter the battle arenas, players will have to collect a unique currency inspired from the TRANSFORMERS universe: Energon. Winning these battles will give players access to special prizes, some of which are only collectable during the ‘Echoes from Cybertron’ event, such as Bumblebee blueprints. Additionally, the event will allow players to impact future episodes by voting on story outcomes after completing the levels.
Mob Control stands as one of Voodoo’s top-performing games, generating revenues close to $100 million in 2023. Under the leadership of Miguel Santirso, formerly a technical lead at King for Candy Crush Soda Saga, the team operates entirely remotely, with its primary hub situated in Barcelona. As the studio continues to experience healthy growth, it actively seeks talented individuals to augment its ranks.

Xtremepush Confirms €12m Financing by AshGrove Capital

Xtremepush, a market leader of CRM and gamification powered by AI, has announced today that it has received €12m in new funding from its long-term investment partner, AshGrove Capital.
The European capital solutions provider, which specialises in B2B software companies, has issued a flexible debt facility to Xtremepush, which will allow a scaling up of its ambitious growth and acquisition strategies. In addition, it will cement Xtremepush’s market-leading position as a unified CRM and gamification software platform while also advancing its footprint in regulated verticals such as financial services, e-commerce, and publishing.
Xtremepush’s next growth phase, set to be expedited by this latest funding, will see it scale up its operations in multiple regulated markets. This will allow Xtremepush, with Ashgrove’s support, to continue its investment in industry leading R&D, explore new opportunities in other verticals, expand its global market footprint, and power its acquisition strategy complementary to its existing model. The CRM experts hold a five-year investment relationship with AshGrove Capital and this funding round gives a strong approval of the trajectory of the Dublin-based firm, which also has private equity relationships with tech-focused Grafton Capital and Bettor Capital.
