Gaming Corps’ Piggy Smash brings the chance to smash the bank with new game mechanic
Revolutionary Smash4Cash mechanic shakes things up and delivers an experience like no other
Gaming Corps – a publicly-listed game development company based in Sweden – is kicking off 2024 by providing players with a revolutionary new game, as Piggy Smash brings the opportunity to take a swing at winning some great fortunes.
Piggy Smash offers the potential of a cash prize with each bet, or the chance to trigger exciting features which grant even bigger riches. Players can step into the vault and test their luck as they bring down the hammer on small piggy banks, smashing them open for lucrative rewards.
The release marks a significant development for Gaming Corps, as it is the supplier’s first title to offer it’s brand new Smash4Cash mechanic, bringing new gaming experiences to the online casino world. In this game players Smash Piggy Banks for Cash!
The Piggy is laid out in the in the middle of the game screen, with two racks on either side of the active Piggy each holding four balls. This allows players to see the upcoming winning potentials and makes triggering the Bonus features that much more exciting when you know what potential wins are lined up and ready for the player to look forward to.
With each wager made, players make an attempt to smash the active Piggy. Should the Piggy be smashed, then an instant prize will be awarded, with additional features and multipliers also potentially being unlocked. After a Piggy has been smashed, one of the other four balls will be dropped from the rack, transforming to become the active Piggy.
Among the additional features is Rampage Mode, where the Hammer automatically attempts to smash the Piggies until it fails; at least two Piggies will be smashed in each Rampage. The additional features also include Instant Win, where the game will randomly choose and award a prize of either 10x, 25x, 100x or 1,000x the wager.
Players can also unlock the Multiplier feature when a Piggy is smashed, which will be applied to the payout of the next Piggy to be smashed. The next Piggy will automatically be made active in the same wager and is a guaranteed Smash4Cash prize.
The game also brings the Multiplier Rampage feature, which is a combination of the Multiplier and Rampage features. During this feature, all smashed Piggies will have their payout prizes multiplied by the awarded multiplier at the start of the feature.
Piggy Smash is the latest in a long line of recent game releases from Gaming Corps, and follows the launch of other takes on the Arcade genre such as Plinkgoal and Prospector’s Plinko.
Connor Blinman Head of Games at Gaming Corps said: “Piggy Smash is a revolutionary game release for us, as our fantastic games team have shaken things up with the introduction of our Smash4Cash mechanic, which we are proud to introduce to players. We have produced another high-quality, enthralling arcade product that I’m certain our partners will be very pleased to offer to their players. The new mechanic will be deployed in future game releases too and we are very excited about how this will add further improvements to our games going forward.
“Last year was a fantastic year for Gaming Corps, and we are continuing to upgrade and refresh our games portfolio with thrilling, cutting-edge gaming content moving into 2024 as we expand our global market reach.”

Dutch Gaming Authority Maps Risky Gambling Behaviour with Markers of Risk Research
The Dutch Gaming Authority (KSA) has used collected (pseudo-anonymised) player data to map indicators of risky gambling behaviour. With the results of the research, the supervisor can compare the various license holders with each other in other areas than just extreme losses.
Gambling problems and excessive gambling are often associated with the loss of large sums of money. Gambling large amounts of money can indeed be an indicator of risky gambling behaviour, but other indicators also play an important role in detecting problem gamblers, such as playing time or changes in gambling behaviour (for example, gambling more often or at unusual times).
Licensed gambling providers have a mandatory data vault (CDB) in which pseudonymised player and transaction data is stored. The KSA has analysed this data to map risky gaming behaviour, to look at (the usefulness of) applied interventions by providers and to compare the different providers with each other.
The study looked at various indicators of problem gambling: intensity (gambling many days, or losing a lot of money), loss of control (number of deposits per day), increase in gambling behaviour (gambling more often or for longer, spending more money), chosen game (for example sports betting versus slot machines) and interventions by the provider. The analyses were conducted based on one year of data from the CDB.
By comparing or linking different indicators, the KSA gained many new and interesting insights. For example, playing at night is generally seen as an important indicator of risky gambling behaviour. The data shows that players play casino games more often than sports bets at night. This could mean that casino games are riskier than sports bets. At the same time, it could mean that placing sports bets at night is a stronger indicator of risky behaviour: it occurs less often and deviates more from the norm.
The KSA is now looking at how this research and the findings from it can be used by the supervisor to gain more insight into possible problem players and how to tackle them. In addition, it is looking at how the insights obtained can be used in other ways to improve supervision.
