Sportingwin Signs Sponsorship Deal with Sepsi FC
Sportingwin has signed a sponsorship deal with Romanian Cup holders, Sepsi FC.
Sportingwin is laser-focused on Eastern European markets and last year became the fifth operator to launch in Bulgaria and is already generating more than €1m YTD. Romania is the next step in its market roadmap with other jurisdictions in the pipeline. This new deal forms part of a far-reaching marketing campaign that will be rolled out across the country.
Led by a team of industry veterans and sports betting specialists, the ultimate goal of Sportingwin is to dominate Eastern European sports betting markets.
Mark Chakravarti, Investment Director at Sportingwin, said: “From day one, we have made it clear that we see huge potential in regulated markets across Eastern Europe and already our brand is well recognised by players across the region.
“With our Romania licence in hand, we can now get ready to make our move in the market where again we see massive potential for our brand and the sports betting experience that we offer to players. This is a stand-out experience that will allow us to quickly gain market share.
“Competition is stiff, especially with the likes of Unibet and Superbet already live and engaging players, but we believe our offering is a cut above the rest and that with the right strategy, we will be able to match the revenues we are achieving in Bulgaria within the first year.
“Partnerships with the likes of Sepsi FC will really help towards not just hitting that target but surpassing it.”

Europe’s Largest Lottery Remains the Responsibility of WestLotto
The largest lottery in Europe remains the responsibility of WestLotto. At the general meeting of the 19 Eurojackpot countries, the state lottery company of North Rhine-Westphalia in Bled, Slovenia, was confirmed in its administrative leadership role for another three years. In addition, WestLotto managing director Andreas Kötter was once again elected as chairman of the world’s most successful lottery launch in recent years.
“The Eurojackpot is a European success story. We are proud to be significantly involved and to be able to continue our work,” said Andreas Kötter.
Since the first Eurojackpot draw in 2012, the threads for the Eurojackpot have come together at WestLotto. At the company headquarters in Münster, the tips from all participating countries are recorded and the winnings and odds are evaluated. In Bled, the total of 34 state-licensed lottery companies confirmed WestLotto’s outstanding leadership role so far in the gaming offering, which reaches around 325 million people in Europe.
After starting with state-licensed lottery companies from seven countries, the Eurojackpot cooperation has now grown to 19 nations. Most recently, the Greek company OPAP joined the merger in March. Germany is involved with all 16 federal state companies from the German Lotto and Toto Block (DLTB). The draws are carried out every Tuesday and Friday. According to the formula 5 out of 50 and the Euro numbers 2 out of 12, a jackpot of between 10 and 120 million euros is played.
