SOFTSWISS Helps Operators Retain EUR 9m+ in H1 2023

SOFTSWISS, a forward-thinking tech company specialising in iGaming software development, is continuously increasing its efficiency to meet the evolving challenges of its clients. According to the reports, in H1 2023, clients saved over 9.2 million euro with the assistance of the Anti-Fraud team within SOFTSWISS Managed Services, representing a 23% increase compared to the first half of the previous year.  

In H1 2023, the Anti-Fraud team processed more than 60,000 operator requests, which aligns with the grand total from the previous year. These requests encompassed a wide range of issues, including player checks and suspicious activity notifications. Notably, almost 70% of all fraud detected by the Anti-Fraud team was related to bonus abuse, with another 10% attributed to money laundering. The remaining cases included chargeback, payment system abuse and other types of fraudulent activity.

Ilya Nesterov, Anti-Fraud Team Lead, comments: “The team has successfully resolved more than 100 player complaints placed with regulators or industry forums. Leveraging our extensive expertise, we carefully examine each problematic situation, offering operators thoughtful consultations on how to resolve issues without escalation. This mechanism, coupled with the responsible attitude by operators, resulted in a notable 36% decrease in the number of complaints placed in H1 2023.

By effectively solving disputes and complaints, we were able to help SOFTSWISS clients save 173,000 euro. This reflects our commitment to providing top-notch service and ensuring our clients’ success in the iGaming industry.”

Game Nation, the UK’s third largest high street gaming machine operator has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of experienced industry executive Eric Howell to the post of Compliance and Audit Director alongside Sharon Lewis who joins as Marketing Development Manager.

Mark Jepp, who was named Game Nation CEO in September 2024, believes the two new appointments will add both experience and creativity to the business. He stated: “Eric Howell began his gaming industry career with Coral Social Clubs in 1989 and has gained hands-on experience working across the Bingo, Casino and Licensed Betting Office sectors.

“His most recent post was with Mecca where he was instrumental in the revitalisation of the brand’s slots operation. With a commitment to the delivery of ethical, customer-focussed entertainment he brings huge credibility to the Game Nation business.”
