NCSOFT reveals new brand trailer that looks back on 25 years of legacy in the MMORPG genre

NCSOFT (NC) revealed a new brand trailer ‘MMORPG SPIRIT’ that looks back on 25 years of legacy in the MMORPG genre. NC has been a leading game developer in the industry with its flagship PC MMORPG IPs including Lineage, Lineage2, AION, Blade & Soul.

NC has been a pioneer in the MMORPG genre since Lineage, the developer’s first MMORPG title released in 1998 that opened an era of online games in South Korea. The company’s latest campaign video celebrates the key features and milestones of its flagship IPs and invites players to experience a whole new world in TL.

  • Lineage, the ‘first world’ to connect players through fun. The game came to be one of the first generation Korean online based MMORPG titles that laid a ground-breaking standard in MMORPGs. Lineage is acclaimed to have expanded games to an organic world that resembles reality by introducing large-scale battles fought between battle communities with dynamic rivalry and competition.
  • Lineage 2, the ‘first world’ to overcome three-quarter view limitations. With Lineage 2, NC opened an era of 3D online gaming. The game introduced high-quality, immersive 3D graphics that conquered the world and made it one of the most popular online games.
  • AION, the ‘first world’ to bring the battle to the sky. The game’s aerial combat system revolutionised how fights are perceived in the MMORPG genre. AION was also highly acclaimed for its artwork and music that reached orchestral levels.
  • Blade & Soul, the ‘first world’ that combined creative storytelling with dynamic action. The game is acclaimed to immerse players into its captivating storytelling elements. Unique combat mechanics such as active counters, parrying and realistic martial arts techniques were highly praised among the game community.
  • THRONE AND LIBERTY, the start of a whole new world. TL is NC’s upcoming MMORPG title. The game delivers conflict on a massive scale in a dynamic world that provides varying opportunities and threats for players. Amazon Games will be publishing TL in North America, South America, Europe, and Japan.

As part of the ‘MMORPG SPIRIT’ campaign, a digital artbook will also be released on NC’s official brand media ‘NC PLAY’ in the middle of June. The artbook will bring together the game art in Lineage, Lineage 2, AION, Blade & Soul, including early-stage character designs, concept art to realistic battles designed with delicate graphics that have not been revealed to players before.

Checkd Group Accelerates Growth Strategy with James Prosser Appointment

Industry veteran joins as a consultant in run-up to Euro 2024

Technology-led sports betting specialist Checkd Group has appointed James Prosser (pictured) as Growth Consultant in a move designed to boost revenue generation potential ahead of a big summer of football.

Bringing a fresh and innovative approach to product and content, Prosser will take up a short-term role to focus on the quality of the user experience across all channels, providing a revamped and more customer-friendly product ahead of Euro 2024. This will comprise expanded bet types, improved customer journeys and better conversion for Checkd’s operator partners.

With over ten years of experience in the industry, Prosser will also add value to several teams across Checkd Group through his vast experience, knowledge and network in the affiliate space. The ex-Spotlight Sports Group Affiliate Director and co-founder of Free Super Tips and myracing will also aid the team’s long-term strategy by diversifying traffic sources.

The new addition follows the recent creation of Checkd Media’s new Digital PR team, boosting its organic search performance across its key sites in the United Kingdom and the Americas.

“I’ve long been impressed by how Checkd Group have performed predominantly through its social channels, so it was an easy decision to agree to join its team,” Prosser said. “To build on this success, we’re looking at taking a holistic view across all channels and diversifying traffic sources with a focus on data-driven solutions to elevate visibility and conversions. ITL Spain head to Madrid for the largest gaming exhibition in the Spanish calendar

Innovative Technology (ITL) have announced their participation at the largest global network of gaming professionals in Spain. From 7-9 May 2024, Madrid will become the centre of the Spanish gaming industry, celebrating the 40th anniversary of Feria Internacional del Juego (FIJMA).

FIJMA is the most important event in the leisure and gaming industry in Spain where the main companies, manufacturers and experts in the industry gather to learn about the latest slots and gaming equipment innovations. The Spanish team at ITL will be exhibiting their solutions on stand A49 and plan to have their latest note recyclers and coin handling products centre stage, as well as demonstrating how their biometrics solutions can be utilised to benefit the gaming industry to prevent underage gambling.
