IESF kicks off the World Esports Championships Grand Finals

The International Esports Federation (IESF) is one step closer to crowning the WEC 22’ Champions in Bali, Indonesia. After 8 days of action-packed competition, 105 countries battled across six games: CS:GO, Dota 2, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, eFootball ™ 2023, Tekken 7, and PUBG Mobile, but only 38 advanced to the Finals of the WE Championships.

The Grand Finals kicked off on December 9th when the CS:GO Poland NAVI team came victorious over Argentina. The rest of the Grand Finals will continue on December 10, and the nations will compete for World Esports glory, the coveted WE Championships trophy, and a record prize pool of $500,000.

IESF President Vlad Marinescu said: “We could not have asked for better and more exciting finals of the 14th World Esports Championships. Congratulations to the countries that are advancing to the next round and everyone who competed so far. We are one step closer to crowning the World Esports champion and looking forward to a thrilling competition.”
