Sportsbook app SBK has launched a new social media campaign to help former England and Manchester United footballer Gary Pallister find a job.

Pallister made a fleeting appearance in SBK’s disruptive summer advertising campaign – ‘The ad we weren’t allowed to make, but we made it anyway’ – and is now determined to prove his worth to gain further work with the company.

Using the hashtag #GetGaryAJob, the former centre-back will feature in an SBK video series after his initial rejection in the sportsbook’s recent advert.

SBK CEO/Founder Jason Trost, who also starred in the summer campaign, said: “Anyone who has seen our recent ad will know we’re not interested in working with ex-footballers, but Gary wouldn’t let it go. I’m willing to give him a chance to prove his worth to us – at the very least I can say I admire his tenacity!”

Pallister added: “I can’t wait to get stuck in and show Jason and the team what I can do. They seem to be underestimating my talents, but I’ll show them what I have to offer SBK.”

All episodes will be released on SBK’s Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube pages. Gary can also be followed on both platforms (@garypallister and @garypallisterofficial).

SBK worked with Ken Robertson and his team at The Tenth Man to create and produce the #GetGaryAJob social series. Simon Neal (director of BAFTA-winning comedy ‘Chewing Gum’ and the recent hit ‘Sneakerhead’) directed all episodes.
