Playable Factory launches HTML5 Games service

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Playable Factory, an intelligent marketing platform for mobile games, is today announcing the launch of H5 Games, a creative service that recreates successful mobile games in HTML5, for use on platforms such as TikTok and Snap.

Following the introduction of Apple’s app tracking transparency (ATT), mobile studios and publishers are increasingly exploring additional revenue streams beyond the Apple App Store and Google Play. Many of these social and web platforms use HTML5 gaming content. However, the process of taking games made with Unity and creating high-quality HTML5 versions has been fraught with challenges. Exporting games from Unity to HTML5 fails to capture the full glory of the original, with low quality visuals, performance issues, and prohibitive file sizes.

Here come H5 Games

H5 Games solves this issue for mobile games companies that don’t have the expertise, capacity or resources to create stunning HTML5 games in-house. The new service is a natural progression for Playable Factory, which has already produced more than 1,000 HTML5 playable ads for over 500 mobile games studios, coding faithful representations of the full games to drive user acquisition. Early adopters of H5 Games include companies like Madbox.

Gökçe Nur Oguz, CEO and Co-Founder of Playable Factory, commented:

“For too long, the mobile games industry has put up with low rent HTML5 solutions for Unity games. This has come into much sharper focus as user acquisition has become more challenging on iOS and greater numbers of companies look to publish their games on multiple platforms. As a company with years of creative and technical experience, and one of the best HTML5 development teams in the business, we chose to step up to the plate. We’re thrilled to be launching a service that will ensure mobile games retain their original quality of experience across all platforms.”

Paul-César Elie, Head of Finance & Partnerships, Madbox, said:

“At Madbox we are genuine content makers. We aim to offer unique gaming experiences to all our players. HTML5 is for us a great leverage to share our games on a wide range of platforms. The expertise of Playable Factory on HTML5 and the quality of their production is key to support Madbox ambition in this regard.”

Playable Factory’s development teams have experience with runner, shooter, RPG, puzzle, word, idle, simulation, card, match3, merge, casual, and hyper-casual mechanics. H5 Games’ optimised file sizes ensure that images and animations are as good as the original game, regardless of genre.
