Spotlight Sports Group releases the inaugural edition of ‘BetTech Ecosystem’, a research piece reviewing the major suppliers across the sports betting and iGaming industry.

Spotlight Sports Group (SSG), a leading technology, content and media company specialising in sports betting and fantasy sports has today released its inaugural review of the sports betting industry ‘BetTech Ecosystem 2021’.

At the centre of the research is a visual that showcases six segments (platform providers, trading, e-commerce, data, content and iGaming) and the major businesses that feature in each. The research summarises who the suppliers are across the industry and highlights the extensive M&A that has taken place in recent years.

The study was conducted internally by a team of Spotlight Sports Group researchers and with the support of independent industry experts. The research focuses on the regulated European and North American markets.

Discussing the first edition of the ‘BetTech Ecosystem’, Spotlight Sports Group Head of B2B Marketing, Alan Davis said: “What we’ve created is a state-of-play overview of the major suppliers in Q4 2021 as a visual and report, allowing industry professionals a chance to view the sector from a number of different perspectives.’’

Davis continued: “What is most interesting from the research is how the major players have been growing the number of segments they’re in through innovation or acquisition. It’s striking when you view how some businesses feature multiple times and that is sure to grow. The pace of change within the industry has presented significant challenges while compiling the visual, in what we believe to be the first of its kind for the iGaming industry.”
