The Global Esports Federation announces a strategic partnership with the Arab Esports Federation (ARESF). Following the recent landmark announcement with the Olympic Council of Asia, this latest partnership will see the GEF expand its in-depth work to support the continuing dynamic growth of the esports ecosystem in the Arab region and Africa.

This frameworks agreement formalizes the commitment to work together to promote, support and develop the esports ecosystem, specifically in developing the Arab Esports strategy as a catalyst for continued and sustainable growth. The GEF will jointly work with the ARESF to identify relevant opportunities within the vibrant and emerging landscape in the region; and convene a partnership that focuses on advancing forward-thinking and future-oriented initiatives in service to the esports community.

“The Arab region presents truly dynamic development opportunities for esports to thrive. We are optimistic about the future of esports,” said HRH Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Sultan Al Saud, President, Arab Esports Federation. “Esports in this region has been on the rise. This latest collaboration between the Arab Esports Federation and the Global Esports Federation allows us to create an inclusive expansion strategy that serves our communities and delivers holistic growth opportunities for esports to continue to develop; as well as giving our youth access to unparalleled global opportunities.”

The partnership further expands the GEF’s efforts and reach across Asia and the Arab region, as well as Africa, celebrating and inspiring millions of youth in the region. The partnership establishes a strategic pathway and the development of joint initiatives for the esports community – athletes and players, developers and publishers, and technology innovators – to elevate esports regionally, across the continent and globally.
