Cammegh-Token Cammegh rolls out first phase of CasinoCoin blockchain integrationReading Time: < 1 minute

Cammegh Ltd, the world’s leading manufacturer of roulette wheels, has completed the first phase of its plan to integrate blockchain technology into its internal systems.

As of now, all service and maintenance schedules as well as associated payments are held on the CasinoCoin blockchain, with payment utilising the Cammegh Token. Additionally, all wheels distributed from this point onwards will be integrated with this technology.

Operators will benefit from improved data verification and fraud protection as a result of the integration.

The news follows the announcement earlier this year of a landmark agreement between Cammegh and the CasinoCoin Foundation to launch the bespoke Cammegh Token and leverage CasinoCoin’s blockchain technology to immutably transmit data from every spin of activated Cammegh wheels.

Richard Cammegh, Managing Director of Cammegh said: “This is a first step but a crucial one. As with all successful blockchain projects, having a valid user case is key.

“The blockchain could not be a better vehicle to service the gaming industry’s need for ever more accountability and traceability, while enabling Cammegh to supply our customers with more diverse products in a global market, across varied jurisdictions in differing currencies.

“We are fortunate to have teamed up with the CasinoCoin Foundation (CSC) who’s blockchain technology and global understanding of the gaming industry will help deliver the products and a level of service the industry and regulators will demand in the future.”

Online slots developer Games Inc. has partnered with Jade Rabbit Studio (JRS), a new start up company. The partnership will see JRS build its games directly onto the Reach platform.

Games Inc said that it is eager to partner with tier-one clients and small start-ups alike and to use its industry expertise to help new companies foster innovation and growth.

“Some of the most innovative and interesting content in the online gaming space is being created by smaller ‘boutique’ studios and start-ups who don’t feel like they need to play by the rules and are more willing to experiment. It may be a young company, but Jade Rabbit Studios has that totally fresh approach to games development that we really value. We believe JRS’s eye-catching content is a worthy addition to our growing portfolio,” Jason O’Shea, commercial director of Games Inc, said.

Kansspelautoriteit Introduces Age Verification Rule

2-4-1 Kansspelautoriteit Introduces Age Verification RuleReading Time: < 1 minute

Netherlands gambling regulator Kansspelautoriteit (KSA) has added age verification as a priority criterion in the approach to online gambling. With effect from January 1, 2020, age verification will be a must for online gambling operators.

“The range of illegal online games of chance is huge. KSA makes choices in combating this, with the protection of Dutch consumers as the guiding principle. The criteria of age verification is now added to the criteria that the KSA uses for this. Preventing minors from taking part in gambling is an important priority of the KSA,” the regulator said.

Failure to verify age before the registration process has been completed also has consequences in the longer term. This violation is negatively taken into account at a later stage if an online gambling license is applied for in the context of the Remote Gambling Act.

“The statement by the participant to be of age is not enough. It must be clear to players how their age is being verified. KSA emphasises that offering games of chance without a license is prohibited. Satisfying the age verification requirement does not mean that the KSA will refrain from enforcement, or that a future permit application will be considered positive,” KSA added.

1-6 Olympic Summit Encourages International Sport Federations to Explore Esport OpportunitiesReading Time: < 1 minute

The Olympic Summit has suggested International Sport Federations to consider how to govern electronic forms of their sport and explore opportunities with game publishers.

Presented as one of eight themes at the 8th Olympic Summit in the Swiss city of Lausanne, the Summit explored what it call “great potential” for cooperation and incorporating esports into the sports movement, with many sports simulations becoming more physical due to the advancement of virtual and augmented reality.

The Summit was presented with a report from the Chair of the esports and gaming liaison group, International Cycling Union President David Lappartient with recommendations to promote Olympic sports and the Olympic values in esports and gaming.

The Summit agreed on a two-speed approach with International Federations urged to explore esport opportunities, suggesting that the sports movement should just focus on players and gamers rather than specific games, as this focus on individuals would promote the participation in sport and its benefits.
