FSB on the rise in the Tech Track 100Reading Time: 2 minutes

It’s “lucky 13” for award-winning provider, as its tech and growth scales The Sunday Times’ list of UK’s top performers

Leading sportsbook platform provider FSB has seen its flair for award-winning technology and companywide growth again acknowledged by taking high rank in this week’s 19th annual Sunday Times Tech Track 100 league table.

The influential list of the UK’s top tech companies, on which FSB ranked 13th, grades innovative private firms across technology, media and telecoms in accordance with results for the fastest-growing sales. The judges were particularly taken with FSB’s market-leading software solutions, generating a progressive year-on-year sales rise of 175% over the past 36 months, which puts the company on the threshold of the UK’s Top 10 rising stars in this competitive domain.

More recently, at the beginning of August, FSB also secured a growth capital investment from Canadian TSX-listed private equity firm, Clarivest Group Inc. This fresh working capital has emboldened the firm’s enterprise strategy, as it bids to grow its UK base and establish its global footprint across emerging markets and into the U.S., where state-by-state sports betting regulation continues to roll out in swift succession.

Powered by live data and real-time pricing algorithms, the firm provides operators – such as Genting Casinos and Fitzdares – with a flexible, state-of-the-art sportsbook and casino platform for online and mobile, as well as electronic point of sale devices for in-venue use in shops, casinos and racetracks.

Founded by CEO David McDowell and CTO Sam Lawrence, FSB now works with over 30 brands across four different continents, employing nearly 120 staff, with gross revenues from gambling activities growing to £24m in 2018 alone.David McDowell, CEO at FSB, said: “In addition to building cutting-edge sports betting software, FSB are pioneers in offering fully-managed trading services, which is now the go-to business model in the sector. We are proud to be the only gambling technology business to make it into the ranking this year.

“The quality of our software and services is provably underscored as larger and larger customers continue to migrate to the FSB platform. And we look forward to evolving and enhancing its components over the coming year, enabling our partners to realise their ambitions.”

FSB will defend its Sportsbook Supplier of the Year title at December’s prestigious SBC Awards 2019.

The Sunday Times Tech Track 100 is sponsored by Hiscox, Barclays, BDO, BGF and N+1 Singer, and compiled by Fast Track, the Oxford-based research and networking events firm.
