”Safe Gambling” is a new term used in the industry and is a possible replacer for the notion ”responsible gambling”. While the responsible gambling focuses on studying and fighting the negative effects of excessive gambling practice, the broader concept of ”safe gambling”, also contains the prevention area. IT security, compliance is also a huge aspect of the term.

We are implementing a panel discussion to the busy agenda of #PragueGamingSummit3 which will focus on Safe Gambling, IT Security, CRM, AML, KYC and the use of AI in Responsible Gambling.

The panel discussion is titled as “(Horus Session) Safe Gambling – IT security and AML / KYC” and will be moderated by industry veteran, Pieter Remmers (CEO, Assissa), who will focus on bringing out the most recent information from the panelist.

Confirmed speakers of the panel are Martin Stöfler (Co-Founder, OSM Solutions), Dr. Manfred Galdes (Partner at ARQ Group Malta), Francesco Baranca (General Secretary at Federbet AISBL), Kim Mouridsen (Founder at Mindway AI), and last but not least, Alina B Gleiss (EMEA Sales Manager at Zendesk).

About Pieter Remmers

Pieter Remmers is a veteran in the area of responsible gaming, consultancy and training of gambling industry professionals. He has been involved in projects with the gambling industry already since 1989. Pieter started his career as the director of an outpatient clinic for addiction problems of Jellinek in the early ’80s.

His company Assissa Consultancy Europe works/worked on responsible gaming policies and programmes in a number of countries i.e. Netherlands, South Africa, Germany, Switzerland, Luxemburg, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Malaysia, Singapore, Canada, Malta, Sweden, and others. Besides Pieter is a consultant worldwide for as well as the gambling and betting industry land-based and online, casinos, slot machine halls, and lotteries and for regulators or other governmental bodies.

He works/worked with companies like IGT/GTech/Lottomatica, Holland Casino, Unibet, Sun International, Svenska Spel, Gauselmann/Merkur, Betsson, Krijco, Fair Play Casinos, Staatsloterij, Lotto NL, Casino 2000, Cogetech, Betfair, National Lottery and many more.

He is a member of the Executive Committee and serves as secretary general/conference organizer of the European Association for the Study of Gambling (EASG). He is also a shareholder/board member of HANDS (Human Assistance Network for Daily Support, telephone counseling services).

In 2003 he was the initiator of G4 (Global Gambling Guidance Group). G4 deals with an International Accreditation System on responsible gaming for the gambling, betting and lottery industry land-based and online. At present, he is the Chair of the Board of G4.

Since 2009 he is a member of the Responsible Gaming Committee of IMGL (International Masters of Gaming Law).

He is also a member of the Spielerschutzkommission (Responsible Gaming Commission) of the Gauselmann /Merkur Group, Germany, a member of the Advisory Council of the AWI in Germany and a member of the International Advisory Panel of the Ministry of Health in Singapore.

Pieter is a very regular speaker at many conferences all over the world.

He is also a freelance correspondent for the magazine European Casinos The Elite and the Casino Inside magazine (Romania).

At present, he is involved in the development and carries out of online education programmes (e-learning) on problem gambling and responsible gaming and responsible gaming solutions to support players’ gaming decisions and online treatment modules.

Reign of Titans Launches in India, Bringing New Opportunities for Esports Players

Reign of Titans has officially arrived in the Google Play Store and IOS’s App Store. The strategy card-based online PvP battle game, is removing barriers for upcoming esports stars with a free-to-play model, low technical requirements, and global competitions.

“Reign of Titans is here to make an impact in India,” said Adi Abili, Head of Reign of Titans. “We’ve spent considerable time and effort to deliver the best version of our game, one that’s fun for everyone and offers a new opportunity for players looking to make a name for themselves in esports.”

The Reign of Titans game transports players to the World of Ereo – a mystical and fascinating place bound together by the forces of Chaos and Order. Players, or “Kyoks” as they’re referred to in the game, begin by choosing a Titan from one of eight unique elements, building their deck of scrolls, and then heading into the Arena.

In these real-time 1v1 matches, players need to effectively manage their Titan’s energy, or “Mana” and HP while inflicting damage through the strategic selection of scrolls. Victory can be achieved in two ways – depleting the opponent’s HP completely or making them run out of scrolls.

Reign of Titans is not new to India. The team behind the game brought beta versions to colleges, gaming cafes, and top esports athletes in 2024, in the hopes of understanding how to best appeal to gamers in the region. The game’s low system requirements make it easy for anyone to climb the global leaderboards and have a shot at becoming an esports player.

Players can head over to the Google Play Store or App Store to download the Reign of Titans app, get their first Titan, and refine their skills. New sign-ups will get an exciting “Welcome Loot Box”, giving players a head-start in crafting their Titan’s strategy.

Players in India can visit the official Instagram to see upcoming events where they can experience Reign of Titans live. The game will continue its activations across different colleges and cities of the country.

Shaping the Future of Esports: ICE Esports Arena provides essential insights

The ICE Esports Arena at ICE Barcelona 2025 plays a key role in educating people about esports and how to access, integrate and regulate this growing vertical, says Clarion Gaming’s leader in Emerging Technology and Esports.

“It’s very established here. You can walk around Barcelona and see large-scale internet cafes catering for esports fans,” he added. “This represents an ideal foundation for the continued growth of the Esports Arena and The Esports and Games Conference in the years ahead.”
