We have managed to get an interview with Eastern European Affiliate Manager, Djordje Sokanovic of EnergyCasinoPartners, who has switched from professional poker player to engage with the world of online gambling as he refers to it as “Malta and the other side of the gambling fence called me. I answered.”. Here is our interview with the rockstar affiliate manager:

EEG: First of all, tell us a bit about yourself and the how did your career start in the industry, we would like to know more about Djordje Sokanovic from EnergyCasinoPartners.
Djordje: I’m 31, born in Serbia, but moved to Norway at 15 where I spent next 9 years. Then I came back to Serbia and started playing real life poker halls to earn my living. All those late nights of competition were an interesting time in my life. Sure, it was fun, and I consider it a valuable life experience. After that, Malta and the other side of the gambling fence called me. I answered.
EEG: What was the reason you joined the gaming industry?
Djordje: There were actually many reasons. I had a love for ‘the game,” and was curious about the online operator side of the industry. The late night lifestyle I was living was never one intended to last forever, I wanted a change, and I wanted to learn new things. It was a fresh start for me in an exotic place, there was an air of competition in the team I joined, but comradeship too, and it made the transition a joy. The Energy brand, the business climate and the Maltese experience brought a positive change in my life, and I’m still riding that wave.
EEG: Does your program have any East European affiliates that you manage?
Djordje: It sure does, and I sure do. Big shout out to my partners from the “East.”
EEG: Are there any super-affiliates coming from this region? We know for certain that a huge group of affiliates come from Eastern Europe.
Djordje: Parent affiliates, and yes super affiliates galore have either come from, or have set up base in the region. Some of course target their home territories, but others find their main markets and their greatest successes outside of Eastern Europe.
EEG: Could you fill us in on your current offer for affiliates and maybe a brief description of your program?
Djordje: For all new affiliates, we have our first 2 months promotion offering of 50% revenue share. It’s designed to get affiliates up, running and profitable as our partners as quickly as possible. After that, and depending upon initial success it’s possible to get between 25% and 40% Revenue Share. All stats are updated daily and we use Netrefer as our affiliate administration platform. New marketing collateral is added all the time to the system, and we’re working on new methods to make the affiliate’s life even easier.

EEG: Where do you think the industry will be in 3 years, and of course, where do you see EnergyCasinoPartners in 3 years?
Djordje: In online gambling, it is hard to predict where the industry will be in a year, let alone 3 years. The numbers trend shows that EnergyCasino will be a much bigger company, strongly established and dominant in a greater number of territories. There’s some geniuses in our offices constantly striving to improve user experience, and I know we’ll continue to be a great place to play and an even more attractive place to work.
EEG: Tell us a bit about your office or offices? How big is your team? Are there any weird or fun things you guys do as a team or at your team buildings?
Djordje: I can’t (laugh), actually as I am working from home, I do know that some members of the team used to go swimming in the sea during every lunch-break. I visited our Maltese office a few months ago, but the team have now moved to new offices triple the size and ready for our biggest expansion to date. EEG: If you would just open your YouTube search bar, what would you search for?
Djordje: It all depends on what I need at that moment. If I need music it’ll be a song, if I need to learn something then it’ll be a how to video, otherwise you’ll find a string of documentaries about all sorts.
EEG: Who is your favourite celebrity and if you’d have to a pick a destination in Eastern Europe, where would you travel?
Djordje: I can’t say that I have a favorite celebrity, I don’t watch TV. But I do have some favorite “people” in my life. Real people. My plan for travel is “no actual plan,” except for visiting everywhere in Eastern Europe I’ve not yet been to really soon.
EEG: Where you wouldn’t want to travel?
Djordje: Where it is cold and where I can’t connect to Wi-Fi.
EEG: What is your opinion about EEG (eegaming.org)?
