Our Affiliate Manager’s interview series continues with Artur Lukas, Affiliate Manager at our Platinum Sponsor VIP Affiliate. So, without further ado, here goes the interview:
EEG: First of all, tell us a bit about yourself and the affiliate program you work for. How did you get into affiliate marketing? And why VIP Affiliate?
Artur: My name is Artur, I’m an affiliate manager for all vipaffiliate casino programs which are Free Spin, Exclusive, Cherry Gold, Irish Luck, DomGame, Planet and Spin Usa casinos. I have an extensive background in internet marketing and online promotions. I chose VipAffiliate because I’ve wanted to work with the best in the industry.
EEG: What was the reason you joined the gaming industry?
Artur: I got into online gambling industry because it seemed like a professional challenge for me coming from other niches in affiliate marketing. I believe that online gambling is one of the fastest growing industries with two digit growth percentage every year, what presents a lot of challenges and opportunities daily.
EEG: Does your program have any East European affiliates that you manage?
Artur: Yes, we have a couple of affiliates from Eastern Europe sending us steady traffic. However, majority of their traffic is coming from North America and other English-speaking countries.
EEG: Are there any super-affiliates coming from these region? We know for certain that a huge group of affiliates come from Eastern Europe.
Artur: We’re working with an affiliate group from Eastern Europe that can be considered super-affiliate.
EEG: VIP Affiliates is the affiliate program for …….. What markets do these casinos target, and what makes them stand out in the huge crowd of online casinos?
Artur: VIP Affiliates is the affiliate program for serious affiliates. We target North America and other English-speaking countries. We stand out by providing excellent customer support, a handful of retention techniques and we try to constantly improve our results and set new standards.
EEG: What are your current Rev Share plans and CPA plans you work with?
Artur: We try to customize the deal with each affiliate so he gets most out of his traffic. Our standard revenue share can be as high as 40%. CPA plans rates are set on case by case basis.
Artur: According to Online Gambling and Betting Market 2015 report the online gambling industry will keep on growing at a current rate for at least 4 more years. I expect more players to switch to mobile devices, we’ve been observing that trend for past few years. According to Google, there are more users browsing the web on mobile than desktop. I think it’s just a matter of time till online gambling will catch up to that. I also believe that casinos will focus more on overall user experience implementing features like gamification to create more engaging environment for players. The last thing is increasing popularity of BitCoin currency and casinos accepting it, it’s a niche definitely worth exploring.
EEG: Tell us a bit about your office? How is the team? Are there any weird things you guys do as a team or at your team buildings?
Artur: We have a truly great atmosphere in the office. I guess you would call us a bit weird if you entered our office and saw how focused everyone is. As for team building we’ve recently went on a whole day fishing trip which was great fun!
EEG: If you would just open your YouTube search bar, what would you search for?
Artur: I guess theme song on new Kung Fury movie, David Hasselhoff as a renegade cop performing kung-fu stuns is hilarious.
EEG: What, this one? hahaha
Artur: I don’t know if you can call him a celebrity but I’m a big fan of Richard Branson of Virgin Group. If we were talking about actresses I would definitely say Scarlett Johansson.
EEG: I would love to visit New Zealand, the views are breathtaking.
EEG: What is your opinion of EEG – Eastern European Gaming?
