This week we managed to catch up with i-Gaming Forum’s Editorial Director, Heidi Scheiffele, who was kind to provide answers to some questions that were raised by our audience. All we can say that Heidi is a a great professional in what she does and it’s the first interviewee that coloured the interview document, guessing with her favourite colour, green.
The i-Gaming Forum will be held in Berns, Berzelii Park, Stockholm between April 15 – April 17, and it promises to be one of the key events that are held this year in Europe. So, be sure to read in detail what Heidi explains about this interesting conference.
EEG: First of all we would like to know more about you. How did you end up in the industry, and what are you plans for the future?
Heidi: I moved to Stockholm 1.5 years ago and got the great opportunity to work in the conference industry. The i-Gaming Forum is one of our most established and fun formats to work with and I was lucky enough to have it in my portfolio. Plans – I have plenty of them. To make it short: Produce revolutionary and interesting products, travel the world and meet inspiring people.
EEG: What is the i-Gaming Forum all about for you personally?
Heidi: It’s all about finding the right balance between being passionate and objective. We are not directly involved in the Gaming landscape, but as it is such a dynamic and interesting industry to work with, it’s hard to be not too euphoric from time to time.
EEG: As we know, the i-Gaming Forum already has a history in Sweden. When did it get started and what is it’s mission? Has it taken a huge effort to build it?
Heidi: We wanted to provide a mature format where pure business can be done without distraction. So we launched the Forum in 2009 and developed it since then to the most established one in Scandinavia. Our mission is to deliver an unique and fresh platform with high quality content for the top-notch of the industry. And we do!
EEG: We also noticed a huge interest shown by the top-level operators, has that been a success for them? Is there a high number of feedback?
Heidi: I’d like to quote one of our delegates at this point: “The I-Gaming Forum was an extremely productive event – not only did I learn a lot about the Scandinavian market, but the quality of the attendees was exceptional – and for sure, I’ll be getting some new business out of it!”
EEG: Referring to the affiliate side of the event. How can this crowd of professionals benefit of the knowledge that was and will be shared at the i-Gaming Forum?
Heidi: The affiliate world is ever-changing. We can help this crowd of professionals finding and navigating the information that is most important for them.
EEG: What do you think about EEG? Could you give us your thoughts on our mission, the one to build a bridge between Western and Eastern European Gaming world?
Heidi: As we live in such a highly connected but immensely competitive world, I think it is a necessity to build and maintain these bridges. It brings open discussions, a maximized exchange of knowledge, understanding and diversity. Great mission!
EEG: Ok, here comes the fun part. What is your favourite food and if you would have to pick a country in Eastern Europe to travel to, where would you go?
Heidi: Food – oh dear! I could write more than you could publish. I’m a life enjoyer and there’s not much I don’t eat. I love Indian and African. And of course Grandma’s good old traditional Swabian cuisine.
EEG: Which country you would want to visit in Eastern Europe?
Heidi: Actually I always wanted to go for a road trip through Eastern Europe. Starting in Poland and ending in Belarus. I’d love to see the fantastic nature!
EEG: And as a closing question, which is not really a question, more like an opportunity to spread the word, fire away … advertise your event.
Heidi: If you’d like to close hard business and open up new doors, meet, greet, dine in the room where Sweden’s most famous author, August Strindberg, discussed politics and art during the 1880s, cruise through Stockholms archipelago, listen to excellent storytelling and like inspiring company – then you should not miss out! If there is anything you like and you can’t read it here, you should come anyhow and tell me.
Here is a sneak preview video of the event
