VIGE2017: Pieter Remmers(Assissa) to speak and moderate the Responsible Gambling in Central Europe sessions at VIGE2017

The organizers are proud to announce that Pieter Remmers(Assissa), a true veteran who since 1989 has been involved and reached great success in the areas of responsible gaming, consultancy and training of gambling industry professionals . Pieter will give a presentation about the New developments of Responsible Gambling in Central Europe, but will also moderate the panels which are dedicated to updates in regards to Responsible Gambling from the local experts of Eastern and Central Europe.

The Responsible Gambling in Central Europe panels will be held within the Vienna International Gaming Expo 2017 on the first half of Day 2(21.03.2016).

Pieter Remmers started his career as the director of an outpatient clinic for addiction problems of Jellinek in the early 80’s.

His company Assissa Consultancy Europe works / worked on responsible gaming policies and programmes in a number of countries i.e. Netherlands, South Africa, Germany, Switzerland, Luxemburg, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Malaysia, Singapore, Canada, Malta, Sweden and others. Besides Pieter is a consultant world wide for as well as the gambling and betting industry land based and online, casinos, slot machine halls and lotteries and for regulators or other governmental bodies.

He works / worked with companies like: IGT/GTech/Lottomatica, Holland Casino, Unibet, Sun International, Svenska Spel, Gauselmann/Merkur, Betsson, Fair Play Casinos, Staatsloterij, Lotto NL, Casino 2000, SNAI, Betfair, National Lottery and many more.

He is a member of the Executive Committee and serves as Secretary General of the European Association for the Study of Gambling (EASG).

He is also a shareholder/board member of HANDS (Human Assistance Network for Daily Support, telephone counseling services).

In 2003 he was the initiator of G4 (Global Gambling Guidance Group). G4 deals with an International Accreditation System on responsible gaming for the gambling, betting and lottery industry land based and online. At present he is the Chair of the Board of G4.

Since 2009 he is a member of the Responsible Gaming Committee of IMGL (International Masters of Gaming Law).

He is also a member of the Spielerschutzkommission (Responsible Gaming Commission) of the Gauselmann /Merkur Group, Germany, a member of the Advisory Council of the AWI in Germany and a member of the International Advisory Panel of the Ministry of Health in Singapore.

Pieter is a very regular speaker at many conference all over the world and freelance correspondent for the magazine European Casinos The Elite and the Casino Inside Magazine (Romania).

The seminar will take place in one of the meeting rooms at the Austria Vienna Center on the 21th of March 2017.

Zoran Puhač, keynote speaker at Romanian Conference on Gambling 2018

The 8th edition of the Romanian Conference on Gambling, the important gambling event from Central and Eastern Europe, has high ranked speakers.

Among the high rank speakers is Zoran Puhač, Secretary – General of European Organization for Gaming Law (EOGL).

Zoran Puhač is the former director of Corporate Affairs, Mozzartbet. Former coordinator, Association of Gaming Providers (AGP). Former spokesperson of MoD. Zoran Puhač graduated Air Force Academy and post graduate studies at Faculty of political sciences, specialization with the theme about crisis communications.

Zoran Puhač will address the audience in the panel named: “Europe Up-To-Date“.

The event, of both local and international importance, will be hosted by the famous marble halls of the Parliament Palace in Bucharest, the second largest building in the world after the Pentagon, on March 6, 2018.

The 8th edition of the Romanian Conference on Gambling

On the 6th of March 2018, the Parliament Palace in Bucharest hosts the 8th edition of the Romanian Gambling Conference – CRG8, the biggest annual event of the gambling industry in Central and Eastern Europe.

The eighth edition of the CRG, a regional conference of gambling, will be held under the slogan “Ready for the Gambling of Tomorrow.”

As in the previous editions, this years event aims to approach all elements of the gambling industry based on the novelties of the legislation and the enforcement rules, both in Romania and other European countries, as well as the vulnerabilities of the current system, passing through the slot rooms and AWPs, but also casino life or online gambling. Special sections will be provided for human resources, marketing, image, social responsibility and responsible gambling.

Among those who will speak, we find representative names in the gaming world both in Romania and abroad. Representatives of the Romanian authorities, as well as from other European Union countries, are on the guest list.

Those present at the event will be able to ask questions to clarify all the unclear aspects in the special questions and answers (Q&A) sections.

The organizer, as in all previous editions, is the most popular magazine of the Romanian gambling industry, Casino Life & Business Magazine, the double winner of the “Best iGaming Magazine of the Region” Award at the CEEG Awards Budapest, Hungary in 2016 and 2017.

As in the previous editions, during the conference, the organizers wish to host a mini-exhibition in the lobby, so that participants can see on the spot the novelties, as well as other projects of interest.
