Per Hellberg to be in the saddle for Catena Media as he is assigned their next CEO

Commissioning Per Hellberg, who was previously of Nordic Gaming Group, as their new Chief Executive, Catena Media, a performance marketing company based in Ta’ Xbiex, Malta disclosed who will be in the saddle next.

Hellberg is anticipated to assume his new role no later than September 3, along with Acting Chief Persson Ekdahl who will return to his role as a board member of the company.

During his tenure as Chief Executive at Nordic Gaming Group, Hellberg completed the divestment of the company to Betsson.

Hellberg, who spoke with iGaming Business about his appointment, also spells as Chief Executive of Readly International AB and Marketing Director at Sony Corporation.

Hellberg said: “Catena Media is a one-of-a-kind company with a compelling history, an almost unprecedented growth rate and vast potential. I am inspired by companies with a clear strategy for growth and by how I can further contribute to their success; I have spent a decade in that environment. This is a great opportunity to be able to continue the journey and to support Catena Media in its aggressive strategy for the future.”

Kathryn Moore Baker, the Chairman of the Board at Catena Media, added: “We are very pleased to have reached an agreement with Per, who has a solid digital background and exceptional experience in leading global teams managing fast-paced growth. In previous assignments, he has demonstrated a strong capacity for successfully driving progress in transforming markets.”
