Thursday 1st March 2018 – With the Cheltenham Festival less than two weeks away, West Ham United’s principal sponsors Betway set four of the club’s players a Cheltenham commentary challenge.
Patrice Evra, Mark Noble, James Collins and Joe Hart were enrolled in commentary school to learn the basics ahead of the all-important exam in Cheltenham racing classics.
ITV Racing’s Richard Hoiles, who was nominated for Sports Commentator of the Year at the British Sports Journalism Awards, was placed in charge of ensuring high grades from the new recruits.
With Sprinter Sacre’s sentimental 2016 Betway Queen Mother Champion Chase win and last year’s hugely dramatic RSA Novices’ Chase forming part of the exam, who would end up top of the class?
