The Romanian National Office of Gambling has published the list of the first 3 operators that have been granted temporary rights to organize and exploit online gambling on the territory of Romania. There are rumors that 3 other large companies agreed to pay the back-tack in order to obtain their license.
One of the operators is already a highly known brand on the territory of Romania due to its high volume of betting shops spread all around Romania. We are talking about StanleyBet, a company which is run by S.C. Right Betting S.R.L. registered in Bucharest, Romania.

The second operator on the list is a well know brand in the online gambling industry and they’ve also licensed the first online casino in Romania. NetBet a company run by Cosmo Gaming Company LTD, registered in Malta have also received a temporary license to operate their online sports book and casino on the territory of Romania.

The third operator is WinMasters, a company which has been present for quite a while on the Romanian market. The company is run by WM Interactive Limited, also registered in Malta. Although the decision numbers order on which the National Office for Gambling registered the operator shows that it’s the second licensed operator on the territory of Romania, their marketing team decided to advertise that they are the first licensed operator in Romania.
We need to mention that the first licensed was issued to NetBet.

The Romanian Nation Office of Gambling has also created the blacklist of the operators that are not allowed to operate on the territory of Romania. This blacklist is going to be more extensive in the months to come, but it’s interesting to see that none of the high-ranked brands such as bet365, William Hill, Bwin, Betfari or Casino.com are not to be found on this list. Could this mean that these operators are already in talks with the Office and looking to get licensed?
