lac

The biggest event of the year is set to become one of the biggest event ever organised the iGB Affiliate. With over 3,800 people expected to attend, the LAC has moved to a new venue.

The new venus is the Olympia National, London on Hammersmith Road, which has a total of 8.730 sqm and a maximum capacity to hold 4,800 attendees. The venue has a natural daylight, thanks to the huge windows and offers on site car parking.

But that’s not all that has been modified, the dates of the event have changed aswell. The 9th LAC is set to start on the 31st January and will run until the 3rd of February 2015. Four days of conference, exhibition and networking which you will definitely enjoy and prosper from.

fpelacThe Financial Partners Expo will be co-located with LAC and the event has become the largest dedicated exposition for affiliates and introducing brokers within the retails finance sector.

We are sure the conference rooms will be all packed by affiliates, eager to learn from the best and most know names in the industry, such as Dave Naylor, Jake Pollard, Limor Zil, Nick Garner and many more. Not to mention the ever presence of Michael Caselli, Editor-in-Chief at iGaming Business and one of the key figures of the industry.

Conference trainings to look for are “Look ma no links and I’m ranking!” – hosted by Nick Garner on Monday, February the 2nd between 10.35 and 11.10 and “Backing the right domain for international success” by Lloyd Cooke on the same day from 14.00 till 14.35.

The full schedule can be found here.

The Pre-registration Networking Drinks shall be served at Hilton London Olympia Hotel, 380 Kensington High St, London, W14 8NL. This is where delegates and exhibitors will be able to register one day before the exhibition opens, giving them the opportunity to beat the queues and collect their badge, wristband and delegate guide.

We’ve managed to get a preview and a short comment from Alex Pratt, Head of Business of iGaming Business.

First of all, thank you for this short interview in these busy days that you might have before LAC.

EEG: Since our portal is based on business in Eastern Europe, what should affiliates coming from this part of Europe look for at LAC?

Alex Pratt: LAC is huge and attracts thousands of delegates and exhibitors so on the one hand it presents a huge opportunity but it also means you need to really plan your trip to ensure you get the highest return on investment. My advise is to register as soon as possible so you can access the networking app, I would then do three things: Firstly look at all the exhibitors and create meetings with the ones that are most active in your specific market, I would then look at the speakers and content and plan which sessions will benefit you most and mark these in your calendar in the app to attend. Finally I would search the attendee database in the app and see if you can set up meetings with delegates that are relevant to your current business objectives, which could affiliates in your market to work on partnerships, suppliers that could help really boost your business, or industry experts to get the inside knowledge on what is happening in your market when it comes to regulation.

I would though also leave free time to walk the floor as there is always so much going on and often you get your best deals from unplanned meetings….. Obviously there are also lots of networking opportunities outside the show so make sure you attend these with plenty of business cards as there will be lots of people to meet which could potentially help with your business.

One other idea is to use social media to see who else is coming from your region and organise a meet up either within the show at a certain time or outside the show before a networking event. This could be a great way to build your own personal network but also boost your knowledge and business.

EEG: In your opinion, what is the key element that drives such large attendance to LAC? Are you guys planning anything for the 10th LAC which will be hosted in 2016?

Alex PrattLAC is as you know our flag-ship event and is huge and I guess there are a number of reasons for this. Firstly it was the first event we did and the first event where affiliates attended free of charge which meant it benefited from huge growth immediately, secondly its in London which is not only a city everyone wants to visit but also a city that is really easy and cheap to get to, and also a city where a lot of the gaming industry is based. Finally I think because it has an atmosphere that is like no other….. If you have ever been to a previous LAC you would understand…. I guess the only way to describe it is electric as though there is a constant “buzz” in the air. As soon as you go in you feel like you have stepped into an environment where everyone is doing business, making money and having fun doing it.

With regards to 2016 – We have already started planning this but are currently keeping it under wraps – I can though confirm what we will be doing will have never been seen before at any event and will be something you definitely shouldn’t miss!

EEG: Well, this is certainly not a question, but an opportunity to spread the word, fire away…advertise the event 🙂

Alex Pratt:LAC this year will be our biggest event to date…. and this isn’t simply marketing speak, the floor space is 50% bigger than last year and not only that we have new additions such as the acquisition zone and Financial Partners Expo. On top of this we have some of the coolest parties ever held at our events in venues that are almost impossible to get into normally.

On top of this we have our annual iGB Affiliate Awards taking place at Chelsea Football Club which we have heavily invested in this year so expect an amazing night with incredible entertainment and an awesome after party for the crème de la crème of the industry.
