Vancouver’s Edgewater Casino is auctioning off its old equipment

The facility that closed its doors to make way for Parq Vancouver will hold an auction.

Able Auctions revealed that it will be in charge of the Edgewater Casino auction, the facility that closed in order to make way for the US$700 million casino Parq Vancouver, which is located across the street and became the biggest gambling facility in the Canadian city Vancouver.

The company said that it will auction off poker tables, roulette tables and office furniture, among other things, on November 7. This facility is set to be part of a biggest expansion in the area: Parq Vancouver features a 72.000 square foot gaming floor, double in size of the Edgewater Casino, and it offers 1500 slot machines and 150 gaming tables, up from the 600 slots and 75 tables offered at Edgewater.

Parq Vancouver is now the largest private development in British Columbia. The Park, a sixth-floor 30,000 square foot outdoor space features 200 native pines and culinary options as well. The facility features two hotels: JW Marriot and Douglas, 517 rooms between both of them, eight restaurants as well as the city’s largest ballroom.
