Playtika Acquires 80% Stake in Reworks
Playtika Holding Corp. has acquired 80% stake in Reworks Oy, maker of hit Design Entertainment app Redecor, for $400 million in cash.
In 18 months since its launch, Redecor has grown to become the #2 Design Entertainment app based on in-app purchase revenue. Playtika, a leader in mobile gaming, live-ops and technology, will leverage its expertise to further grow Redecor into a leading destination for Design enthusiasts for years to come.
In-app purchase revenue in the Design Entertainment category has grown at a 33% compounded annual growth rate since 2019, based on App Annie. Home Décor comprises 12% of all U.S. e-commerce sales, is one of the most popular categories on Pinterest, and returns more than 100 million Home Décor-related Instagram posts. Home Décor appeals to a similar demographic to that of Playtika’s existing 36 million monthly active users.
“As the fragmented and historically offline market of Home Décor continues to expand onto digital channels, Reworks offers us a compelling opportunity to establish a leading presence in a category that clearly commands a lot of interest and will potentially serve as a foundation to enter further areas beyond traditional gaming. Redecor provides amazing entertainment to design enthusiasts and we intend to utilize our expertise in mobile gaming, live-ops and technology to take it to new heights. Reworks’ talented team will enable us to build new apps in-house to drive future organic growth across the broader digital entertainment and app ecosystems. We are excited to welcome Reworks to the Playtika family,” Robert Antokol, Co-Founder, CEO and Chairman of Playtika, said.
“In Redecor, we set out to build a leading entertainment product for the design community and are thrilled to be able to accelerate its growth with a partner like Playtika. Our strong creative capabilities complement Playtika’s expertise in technology and data, a match we think will be very beneficial to our future growth,” Ilkka Teppo, Co-Founder and CEO of Reworks, said.
Reworks, based in Helsinki, will further bolster Playtika’s existing presence in the city, a leading mobile app and game hub. “Adding such a creative team with a history of making successful mobile apps and entertainment products will help us continue to attract the strongest talent in the Nordic region who want to work on amazing mobile experiences,” Antokol said.
Playtika will purchase the remaining 20% of Reworks for up to $200 million, based on 2022 Company EBITDA (as defined in the definitive acquisition agreement). In the event the agreed-upon 2022 Company EBITDA target is not exceeded, the outstanding 20% will transfer to Playtika for $1.
The acquisition is expected to contribute approximately $30 million in revenue to Playtika’s 2021 revenue. This transaction marks Playtika’s 8th acquisition of a mobile game or IP since its founding in 2010. Following this transaction, Playtika remains well-positioned to continue pursuing its M&A strategy, with approximately $1.4 billion in available liquidity for future deals.

PG Soft releases fantasy-fueled Dragon’s Treasure Quest
PG Soft, a world-class digital mobile games company, has unveiled its fantasy-fueled video slot, Dragon’s Treasure Quest. The game is presented within a 5-reel, 3-row frame and features expanding reels and multipliers.Players must track down hidden treasures while navigating through legendary lore to find Wilds and Scatters, represented by a dragon eye and treasure chest respectively.
The Dragon Wild symbol only appears on reels two, three, four and five, and substitutes for all symbols except the Scatter symbol. Four Scatter symbols found anywhere will trigger the Free Spins Feature with 15 free spins – each additional Scatter symbol will trigger two more free spins. It’s possible to retrigger Free Spins.
At the end of every winning free spin, the total win for that spin is multiplied by both the multiplier at the bottom of the reels and the combined multipliers from the multiplier symbols on
the reels. Any multipliers collected during free spins will be accumulated and will remain at the bottom until the end of the Free Spins Feature.
Players can also take advantage of the Expanding Reel Window feature in Dragon’s Treasure Quest. At the start of each spin, all reels begin with three large reel windows. After each cascade, any reel window involved in a winning combination is split into two smaller windows—boosting the number of ways to win with every round.
A final element is the Multiplier symbol which is in play for any spin within the main game. One or more Multiplier symbols with values ranging from x2 to x100 may appear on the reels. At the end of the spin, all multipliers from the Multiplier symbols on the reels will be added together, and the total win for that spin will be multiplied by the total multiplier. The Treasure Chest may randomly add additional Scatter symbols if there are 1, 2 or 3 Scatter symbols present.
PG Soft’s spokesperson commented: “Dragon’s Treasure Quest delivers an action-packed reels adventure packed with exciting moments as players spin through a magical realm. Dragon’s Treasure Quest captures the spirit of heroic quests and the fiery power of dragons, keeping the adrenaline red hot with every spin.”

GAMOMAT releases Roman Legion Flaming Link
GAMOMAT, one of the leading independent German software developers for slot games, has released Roman Legion Flaming Link, the latest addition to join the line-up of its hugely successful Flaming Link series. This imperious 5×3 slot marches players straight to the heart of the Roman Empire, where legionnaires must vie for victory.
Following the popular Roman Legion, one of GAMOMAT’s most iconic titles, Roman Legion Flaming Link is set to conquer players’ hearts thanks to its Flaming Link Hold & Respin feature, which introduces dynamic Multiplier Zones and Fire Orbs. The series launched earlier this year to great fanfare with Ramses Book Flaming Link.
At the heart of the title is the ferocious Flaming Link feature—a classic Hold & Respin mechanic with an added dimension: every feature round randomly selects four Multiplier Zones. Players will always feel part of the action—not only is there a fullscreen bonus, but also smaller milestones that build anticipation along the way.
Five Fire Orbs will ignite the bonus round, where potentially Fire Orbs may appear. At the end of the respins, all activated multipliers are applied to the Fire Orbs within their respective zones. The values of all visible Fire Orbs are then calculated as the final win, which has the potential payout of 12,100x the total bet. No additional bets are needed as the feature is always enabled.
10 free games will start, when three heroic horsemen ride onto the reels. Once the feature is live, any Sticky Wild Legionnaire remain locked in position to enhance the chances of rich returns. A menacing, cinematic score creates an intense and engaging experience where every spin counts.
GAMOMAT is releasing Roman Legion Flaming Link via its Remote Gaming Server, G‑RGS, and through the Bragg HUB.
