Twitch Slots Category Sets New Record with 21.9m Hours Viewed in April

Twitch has been the go-to streaming platform for gamers for quite some time now, but there’s a lot more to the site than Fortnite or PUBG live streams.
Believe it or not, the platform is also home to hundreds of online casino streamers who share their strategies and tactics to thousands of followers on a daily basis. And while poker is often thought of as the main draw, online slots streamers are slowly but surely carving a niche for themselves on the platform.
Twitch viewers have consumed over 250 billion minutes of video so far in 2021 with an average of 15 million viewers that visit the platform daily. And a recent analysis of Twitch slots Streaming revealed that of that huge figure, an impressive 21.9 million hours were consumed by people watching slots channels.
In fact, the study reveals that there were two records broken in the slots category in April:
- Twitch viewers watched 21,953,615 hours of slots in April 2021 — an all-time high since the category was created back in December 2018 and a jump of 18.8% on April 2020.
- The Twitch slots category saw 120,067 hours streamed throughout the month.
The study by Newcasinosites.co revealed the following stats:
- There were 5,177 casino players streaming in the slots category during April.
- The slots category was the 17th most watched on Twitch during April. The category jumped 3 places in the last 7 days of the month.
- The average number of channels streaming slots was 166.
- The average number of viewers watching slots throughout the month was an impressive 30,533.
- Viewer figures peaked at 181,881 — a jump of 149% on the same period in 2020.
- The lowest number of viewers at any one time was 6,464 on Saturday 10th April.
- The top streamer in the slots category was ROSHTEIN with 274 hours streamed during April.
- Thursday April 1st had the lowest number of slots channels streaming with only 99 online.
- Friday April 9th had the highest number of slots channels streaming with 268 online.
- Saturday 10th April had the lowest viewer to streamer ratio at 38.25.
- Friday April 30th had the highest viewer to streamer ratio at 1,150.71.

Arena Racing Company awarded United Arab Emirates Gaming-Related Vendor License
Arena Racing Company (ARC) has been granted a Gaming-Related Vendor license from the United Arab Emirates’ General Commercial Gaming Authority (GCGRA), an independent entity of the UAE Federal Government with exclusive jurisdiction to regulate, license, and supervise all commercial gaming activities.
The license, operational with immediate effect, affords ARC the opportunity to provide its products and services to licensed operators in the region. Notably, the Racing1 Markets service, an all-in-one horse and greyhound racing solution delivered in conjunction with Racing1 alliance media rights partners at 1/ST CONTENT, Racecourse Media Group (RMG), and Tabcorp, alongside technical partner Pythia Sports. ARC has been added to the list of licensed vendors as per the GCGRA website.
