Sportradar Integrity Services, a unit of Sportradar (NASDAQ: SRAD), today published its annual report, ‘Betting Corruption and Match-fixing in 2023’, detailing the company’s findings into suspicious betting on global sport. Based on the monitoring of approximately 850,000 events and matches across 70 sports, the report highlights a total of 1,329 suspicious matches in 2023, occurring in 11 sports in 105 countries.

Compared to 2022, the data indicates the suspected manipulation rate in all sports remained steady at 0.21%, or one in every 467 matches in 2023. Similarly, the analysis has marked no single sport having a suspicious match ratio greater than 1%, confirming that 99.5% of sporting events monitored had no suspicious betting detected.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) assisted in detecting almost three quarters (73% or 977 instances) of all suspicious matches in 2023, representing a 123% increase when compared to 2022. While AI integration into Sportradar’s Universal Fraud Detection System (UFDS) has boosted detection rates, analysis by our integrity experts is essential to ensure accurate interpretation of data. Sportradar is committed to advancing both AI capabilities and human oversight to protect the integrity of sports.

Key findings in 2023:

· As the world’s most popular sport for betting, soccer continued to be the most affected by match fixing with 880 suspicious matches, followed by basketball with 205 matches, then table tennis with 70 matches.

· Account-level betting data was used to detect 85% of suspicious matches in volleyball, and 100% of suspicious matches in tennis and table tennis, underscoring the importance of collaborating closely with the sports betting industry to combat match-fixing and integrity threats.

· Europe had the highest number of suspicious matches (667 vs 630 in 2022), followed by Asia (302 vs 240 in 2022) and South America (217 vs 225 in 2022).

· 1,295 suspicious matches came from men’s sporting events, while 34 came from women’s sporting events.

Data and reporting from Sportradar Integrity Services last year contributed to a total of 147 sporting and criminal sanctions, spanning 10 sports in 23 countries across 39 cases, underlining the company’s credentials as the established market leader in integrity services. By supporting over 220 partners globally including sports organisations, state authorities, national platforms and law enforcement agencies, Sportradar is committed to keeping sport clean from threats such as match-fixing, doping and other forms of fraud and corruption.

Andreas Krannich, EVP, Integrity, Rights Protection and Regulatory Services, said: “Continued investment in the development of technology is key to detecting otherwise hard-to-find occurrences of match-fixing. In combination with access to account-level data, collaboration across the industry and human experts, we have a suite of powerful tools to help both prevent and detect risks to sports integrity. Further advancements in the fight against match-fixing will be possible as the AI models continue to learn and we will keep honing our expertise to protect sport from manipulation.”

Sportradar takes a holistic, multi-faceted approach to match-fixing detection, powered by its market-leading technology and expert Integrity Services unit. As well as account-level data, the UFDS analyses 30 billion odds changes across 600 global betting operators in real-time and uses advanced AI to detect and flag suspicious matches to Sportradar’s global team of integrity analysts. Supporting this effort is also the Sportradar Integrity Exchange (SIE), where more than 70 betting operators proactively submit suspicious betting information, using account-level betting data to detect and flag suspicious matches.

Strap in for explosive wins and unique bonuses in Stakelogic’s colourful and creative new slot, Cherry Bomber

Grab your swim shorts and make sure you’ve applied your sun cream because we’re heading down to a vibrant tropical island for some explosive action in Stakleogic’s latest adventurous slot, Cherry Bomber.

Players are invited to spin the reels on a sunlit beach and are joined by a selection of colourful fruit characters, each of which brings their own little bit of charm to the island. However, mischief is afoot, with slingshots randomly appearing on the beach to cause chaos on the reels and help players land wins of up to 10,000x their stake.

This playful adventure unfolds over a traditional five-reel set-up, with each reel displaying five symbols. There are 20 active paylines on every spin, with wins secured when players land three or more matching symbols across one.

The Slingshot feature, the game’s stand-out mechanic, can trigger on any base game spin. Slingshots have eight levels and will fire Wild Multipliers onto the game grid. The higher the level, the bigger the Multipliers.

It’s not just the Slingshots players should look out for. Landing three or more of the Bonus Symbols will trigger the Free Spins round, with a maximum of 20 spins being rewarded. The game also ups the ante with the Super Free Spins bonus, triggered when you land three Bonus symbols, including a Super Bonus symbol on reel five.

During these spins, Slingshots can fire up to three Wilds at a time, with a maximum of 15 Wilds able to appear on the reels.

As a Stakelogic slot, players can activate the Super Stake feature. This allows them to wager 1.5x their bet for an increased chance of triggering the bonuses. Alternatively, they can buy their way into the Free Spins and Super Free Spins round for 75x and 200x their stake, respectively.

Like all Stakelogic titles, Cherry Bomber offers players a robust math model, having an RTP of 96.01% and being highly volatile.

James Jelliffe, Head of Slots at Stakelogic, said: “At Stakelogic, we wanted to make the most explosive start to 2025 possible. Cherry Bomber, with its unique Slingshot feature and charming, colourful theme, has allowed us to do just that. We wanted to set a precedent for the kind of innovative products we want to create in 2025, and Cherry Bomber embodies that vision perfectly. We can’t wait to see how players react.”

Britbet and UK Tote Extend Partnership

Published

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Britbet Racing LLP, a partnership of 55 British racecourses, has announced an extended commitment from its racecourse partners for the continued delivery of their oncourse pool betting service.

A key element to this commitment from racecourses comes from Britbet renewing a long-term partnership with the UK Tote Group that will deliver liquidity from the majority of its racecourse partners, including all Jockey Club racecourses and the large independent tracks, to the pools hosted by the Tote on racing taking place at these racecourses.

The renewed partnership will continue to provide a united approach to growing pool betting in the UK, with racecourses controlling the delivery of an oncourse service and the Tote providing the recognised brand and the off-course services, combining to create a single pool hosted by the Tote.

The agreement between Britbet and the Tote will go live in November 2025 and will be in place until at least the end of October 2030, subject to a range of performance measures being met. The new partnership builds on the existing agreement which has been in place since October 2018. Over this time there has been significant growth and innovation in pool betting, with the launch of a dedicated Tote website and App, combined with more competitive pricing, including the introduction of Tote Guarantee in 2020 which ensures the Tote will always exceed or match the Industry Starting Price on Win bets.

Britbet commenced operating the pool betting service oncourse in July 2018. Oncourse turnover exceeded £72m in 2024, a 26% increase to that achieved in 2018. It has delivered this through a continued investment in its staff and the technology used to take the bets from racegoers. The key Tote Guarantee offering provides value back to customers, whilst oncourse specific innovations such as Lucky Pick wallets and Multiples, have all helped to drive increased customer engagement.

Under the operation of the UK Tote Group, the overall UK/Irish pool (the two pools were combined via an agreement with Horse Racing Ireland in April 2020) has increased by over 50% with 100,000 online active customers enjoying an ever-improving customer experience at tote.co.uk/ie. Through the existing deal the UK Tote Group has returned over £40 million to Britbet over the last five years, while investing over £100 million in the business to support the future growth of pool betting.
