Yggdrasil and Thunderbolt Gaming release feature-filled Rise and Fall of Ra

Leading iGaming publisher Yggdrasil has partnered up with Thunderbolt Gaming in a new Egyptian themed release, Rise and Fall of Ra, featuring six expanding reels, a thrilling Bonus Wheel and reverse play during the free spins mode.

Players are initially confronted with a variable-reel matrix, with sliding columns atop each reel. These columns inch up at least one spot for every Horus symbol that lands. These can max out to create a 6Ă—9 structure offering a staggering 531,441 ways to win.

If any column expands to its full height, a Bonus Wheel will be launched which can award free spins, a respins mode, a small or large prize wheel, or sticky stacked wilds, as players unlock the full potential of the reels.

The Bonus Wheel is one of two ways to unlock the free spins, with the mode also launched if three or more Scatter symbols land on a single spin.

During the feature, all reels are reset to three symbols high, with a Bonus Wheel being awarded if the column fully expands. The two prize wheels and sticky stacked wilds remain present on the main wheel, while a direct cash prize can also be awarded.

Players can also increase their chances of unlocking a Bonus Wheel with the Boost, or progress directly to the free spins phase via the Buy Bonus.

Rise and Fall of Ra is the second game produced by Thunderbolt Gaming as part of the YGG Masters program, following 2023 hit Mayan Waterfalls.

The game is powered by GATI, Yggdrasil’s state-of-the-art technology enabling partners to employ the preconfigured, regulation-ready, standardised development toolkit to consistently produce cutting-edge content followed by rapid distribution.

Mark McGinley, Chief Gaming Officer at Yggdrasil, said: “Thunderbolt Gaming is a YGG Masters partner that has an unmistakeable approach to game design, with a careful focus on mechanics, design, and ultimately the refined production of an exceptional slot experience.

“Rise and Fall of Ra sees a unique column lifting mechanic introduced as players can enjoy numerous different bonus modes, all while exploring the popular theme of Ancient Egypt.”

Paul Malt, Head of Games at Thunderbolt Gaming, said: “Our latest collaboration with Yggdrasil sees us produce a game that we are incredibly proud of, with a Bonus Wheel offering an array of prizes triggerable throughout both base play and the free spins.

“With a diverse, ever changing reelset to appeal to players of all tastes, we are confident that Rise and Fall of Ra will bring excitement to our fans across the globe.”
